Join us for a Pilates or Ballet Barre classes for very individualised instruction achieved by keeping the group small in size.  Before starting a Pilates class, please book a 1:1 session induction.  This will give you a basic understanding of the Pilates principles and exercises.  It also includes a structural assessment to help you understand your own body so you can get the most out of your classes.

Appointments for private sessions are also available for one or two people together, and a small class of 3 - 5 people. Private sessions can be a regular weekly occurrence of a bespoke class. However, people that attend classes are welcomed and encouraged to book a 1:1 occasionally to address a particular issue or for more in-depth training.

LC Pilates Studio was founded in 2017 by Lisa Carswell who has over 30 years of experience practicing Pilates and 8 years of teaching. Lisa is a classically trained ballet dancer so also offers Adult Ballet classes.  Both disciplines inform her understanding of how the body moves and has developed her keen eye for proper body mechanics.  Lisa is able to teach clients new patterns of movement to help maintain fitness, alleviate/manage pain or recover from injury or surgery.  She specialises in common issues and conditions such arthritis, osteoporosis, hip/knee replacement, shoulder problems, sciatica, hyper-mobility and Covid-19 Rehabilitation.
